Description of the Workshops
Synchronous, personalized one-on-one workshops lasting 4 hours. Each workshop is specialized in a specific topic, allowing you to focus on learning what you need for your work, university, or academic research.
Each workshop lasts 4 hours.
They are conducted by Google Meet.
Each workshop includes my PDF presentation, the video recording of the workshop, a bibliography, and the datasets / files used in the exercises.
In all my workshops, depending on the topic, it includes some of the tools that I have developed. These tools are designed for the students attending my workshops,
The workshop is delivered individually to ensure a more personalized experience.
The date and time of the workshop will be mutually agreed upon with each student.
Once the date and time have been set, the payment must be made via PayPal prior to the session.

Qualitative analysis using open-source tools

This workshop is ideal for those who wish to streamline their qualitative analysis process using open-access tools.
In this workshop:
Review open-source tools for automatic transcription.
Use open-source tools to code interview transcriptions.
Perform text analysis based on transcriptions using a web-based open-source tool.
Generate word frequency tables, text summaries, trends, contexts, word clouds, phrases, themes, and more.

Web Scraping and visualization of social media comments using open-source tools

This workshop is ideal for those who wish to collect and visualize comments from different social media platforms in an automated way.
In this workshop:
Collect comments from posts on different social media platforms using web scraping.
Create visualizations of the collected comments.
Extract and visualize emojis from social media comments, using Emoji Cloud© , a tool developed by me.
Analyze and visualize data from WhatsApp groups.

Introduction to Social Network Analysis with NodeXL
Duration: 4 hours

This workshop is ideal for those who want to learn how to use the NodeXL tool to conduct social network analysis.
In this workshop:
Review general concepts of social network analysis with NodeXL.
Explore the main functions of NodeXL's importers.
Extract and visualize data from Twitter or Instagram based on your topic of interest.
Learn how to interpret the NodeXL network map, explore metadata, and analyze key network metrics to identify insights.. For the analysis we will also use a tool that I have developed called NodeXL Metrics Report©
*Participants will be provided with a two-month NodeXL Pro license to complete exercises during and after the workshop.

Visualization and analysis of networks using open-source tools
Duration: 4 hours

This workshop is ideal for those who want to learn how to use user-friendly and open-source network visualization tools.
In this workshop:
Review general concepts of network analysis and visualization.
Transform various texts into semantic maps using the Nocodefunctions tool and Text To Network©, a tool developed by me.
Learn to visualize semantic network files in tools such as VOSviewer-online, Gephi-Lite, Gephisto, Retina
Additionally, upload and visualize other network files from Twitter (X) using these tools.

Visualization and Analysis of Quantitative Data with Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio)

This workshop is ideal for those who want to analyze and interactively visualize their surveys, personal records, or data from other sources by creating functional interactive dashboards ready to share with clients, collaborators, professors, students, etc.
In this workshop:
Learn to visualize quantitative data from surveys, internet data, personal records, etc.
Create interactive dashboards with Looker Studio using datasets, incorporating dynamic filters, geographic maps, action buttons, various types of charts, and more.
Define the visual theme, design, colors, and optimal object layout on the workspace canvas based on visualization needs.

Text Mining with the Open-Source Tool Orange Data Mining
Duration: 4 hours

This workshop is ideal for those who want to perform text mining using open-source software.
In this workshop:
Learn how to analyze text corpora using Orange Data Mining.
Create workflows to preprocess text, obtain statistics, generate a bag of words, and more.
Design workflows to visualize text in word clouds and semantic maps.
Connect widgets to perform sentiment analysis using different machine learning models.
Conduct topic modeling to identify relevant themes and keywords in the text.
Use widgets to select terms of interest, along with surrounding text and their concordances.
